Athletics
Welcome to Campobello Gramling School Athletics!
Wildcat Fans,
Thank you for visiting the Campobello Gramling School athletic website. Here you will find important documents, pictures, schedules, and forms that will be used in the 2024-2025 school year. Campobello Gramling School prides itself on offering very competitive sports teams which have provided several championships to our K-8th school. Athletes at CGS are taught the true importance of being a student-athlete in which the word student is emphasized over athlete. Athletes are expected to conduct themselves within the discipline guidelines of the Campobello Gramling School and of Spartanburg District One. We believe that playing interscholastic sports is a privilege and not a right. We invite you to come support our Wildcat teams throughout the year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank you!
Go Wildcats!

Mission Statement
We believe that participation in sports is a very important part of a child’s education.
We believe that a child’s physical well-being directly relates to his mental well-being.
We expect our student-athletes to maintain satisfactory higher academic performance.
We expect our student-athletes to conduct themselves within the discipline guidelines of this school and district.
We expect our student-athletes to conduct themselves as mature young adults at any and all school or community functions.
We believe that playing interscholastic sports is a privilege and not a right.
Student-Athlete Guidelines
It is our goal for all students-athletes to enjoy their participation in our athletic program. We fully believe that this can be one of the most memorable times of their lives. We do, however, expect each student athlete to abide by certain policies. For that reason, we have created this instrument. As you read this, remember that everything we do has the athletes’ best interest at mind.
Discipline Guidelines
The purpose of the following policy is not to add punishment to previous punishment. It is simply to be used as a deterrent to any possible discipline problems during the school day.
Penalty/Technical - Any students-athlete assigned a technical foul during season will be assigned extra conditioning or other actions deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
Detention Hall - Any student-athlete assigned to Detention Hall during season will lose a minimum of ¼ game of participation and be assigned extra conditioning as deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
In-School Suspension - Any students-athlete assigned to In-school Suspension during season will lose a minimum of ¼ game for every day assigned to ISS and be assigned extra conditioning as deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
Suspension - Any students athlete that is suspended from school may not participate in any practice or game during the duration of the suspension. Extra conditioning will be assigned by the coaching staff.
We expect our student-athletes to conduct themselves as mature young adults at any and all school or community functions.
We believe that playing interscholastic sports is a privilege and not a right.
