Mr. Blake Neely has been selected as the next Principal of Holly Springs-Motlow Elementary School. He will be succeeding Mrs. Erika Center, who has been appointed as the Director of Elementary Programs and Fine Arts for the district. These changes will be effective as of July 1, 2023.
Mr. Neely began his teaching career in Spartanburg One in 2013 as a teacher at Holly Springs-Motlow Elementary. In 2018, he represented Spartanburg One as the District Teacher of the Year. In 2020, he became an Assistant Principal at Anderson Mill Elementary before returning to become the Assistant Principal at Holly Springs-Motlow in 2021.
"It is such an honor to be named Principal of Holly Springs-Motlow Elementary," states Neely. "Our school is truly a special place. The HSM students, staff, and parents have become special to me over the years as this is where I started my teaching career. I am excited to share many more experiences in the years to come.”
Neely earned his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Furman University and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Converse College. Mr. Neely and his wife, Lauren, reside in Inman.
