Spartanburg One is excited to announce the appointment of Kali Koenig as the new Head Coach for the Landrum High School Varsity Girls' Basketball team. In addition to her coaching role, Coach Koenig will also join the faculty at O.P. Earle Elementary School as a fourth-grade teacher.
Coach Koenig brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her roles both on the court and in the classroom. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Mobile in Alabama, where she excelled as an offensive player and team captain of the women's basketball team. Her academic journey continued at the University of South Alabama, where she obtained her Master’s of Education degree in Elementary Education.
Coach Koenig made a significant impact at Covington High School in Louisiana as the head varsity girls basketball coach and at Folsom Elementary School as a fourth-grade math teacher. Her international basketball experience spans Denmark, Malta, and Italy, showcasing her global perspective and passion for the sport.
"I am honored to join the Landrum community and Spartanburg One family. Teaching and coaching here is a dream come true, and I look forward to helping our students and athletes achieve their full potential," says Coach Koenig. She adds, "Basketball has always been a significant part of my life, and I am excited to continue building a strong and successful program at Landrum High School."
