Two Hour Delay on Monday, January 13

Spartanburg One has announced that schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 13 due to road conditions in the area.

While many main roads are clear, several secondary roads within the district remain icy and hazardous, posing a safety risk for travel. A two-hour delay will provide daylight to improve visibility and give the ice more time to melt, ensuring safer travel for buses, staff, parents, and student drivers.

"We encourage parents to carefully assess road conditions in their area and make the final decision regarding travel for their student driver," stated Jason McCraw, Assistant Superintendent of Operations.

Bus transportation and school morning drop-off times will follow schedules exactly two hours later than normal.

The safety of students and staff remains Spartanburg One’s highest priority.
