Spartanburg One is proud to announce Mrs. Ashley Foster as the next principal of O.P. Earle Elementary School, following her approval by the Board of Trustees on April 21.
Mrs. Foster brings nearly two decades of experience in education—all of which have been within Spartanburg One. Since 2021, she has served as the assistant principal at O.P. Earle, Before joining O.P. Earle, Mrs. Foster served in a variety of roles at Inman Elementary, including as a classroom teacher, grade-level leader, and safety team lead. She was named Inman Elementary's Teacher of the Year in 2018-2019 and has consistently demonstrated a passion for early childhood education and supporting teachers through collaborative professional learning.
Mrs. Foster holds a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Converse College and an Educational Leadership degree from Gardner-Webb University. Her educational philosophy centers on building strong relationships and fostering a school environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.
"I am truly honored to serve as the next principal of O.P. Earle Elementary," said Mrs. Foster. "This school holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated staff, students, families, and community to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment."
Mrs. Foster and her husband, Dell, who also works in Spartanburg One, are proud parents to their daughter, Charlee Ruth (10). Their family’s deep ties to the district reflect their shared commitment to serving and supporting the community.
Mrs. Foster is succeeding Mr. Brian Murray, who will retire at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
