Students of Dr Pope and Mr Farnham attended oral arguments of the South Carolina Supreme Court at Furman University. LHS was recognized by Chief Justice Donald Beatty, a Spartanburg native, as the only school in attendance from Spartanburg County. Opening remarks were given by the Hon. Dick Riley, former U.S. secretary of education and former governor of South Carolina.
