
Open House at LHS will be tonight (August 17, 2023) from 6pm to 7pm. Parents are invited to walk through their student's schedule to meet the teachers and learn more about their classes.
There will also be a meeting for the upcoming European Studies trip to Spain and Portugal immediately after Open House. Students who are interested in going on the trip should report to the cafeteria at 7pm with their parents. The Spain/Portugal trip is for current Juniors and Sophomores and will take place during the Spring of 2025.

Are you interested in being part of the LHS Theatre program? Join us to audition for this year's fall production of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
Auditions will be Thursday, August 17 at 3:35 pm in the Theatre Classroom (509).

Any student who plans to drive and park on campus for the 1st time must have completed the Alert & Alive Permit Pass Class, or show enrollment in a fall class. This is required by the district for all new student drivers who drive and park on campus. ⚠️🚘

LHS will be offering a new elective this year- Intro to Film! This class is for rising 10-12th graders. If you would like to take the class, email your counselor with the elective you wish to drop, and let them know you want to add Intro to Film!

Avery West, a ninth grader in Ms. Lance &and Ms. WIlliams' class competed in the State Summer Games last Saturday in Columbia for swimming. She received three silver medals!! Congratulations Avery! LHS is proud of you! ❤


All underclassmen need to bring their assigned Chromebook charger to LHS tomorrow. First period teachers will be checking each charger to ensure that students have the correct device.

Seniors can sign up to participate in LHS' College and Military Decision Day to be held on Monday, May 1st from 1-2PM. Your name will be announced, along with the college you will be attending in the fall or the branch of the military you have enlisted in. Your family may attend. You may wear your college shirt/colors. You must provide proof of college or military enlistment by April 27th. Email Ms. Means a copy of your acceptance or stop by Guidance with it. This week, Nicholas Correia competed at the State Archery Competition with ROTC. Out of the 375 archers competing, Nicholas placed 37th overall and was in the top 5%. Congratulations Nicholas!
