National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on January 9. It is a day to honor and show appreciation to local law enforcement for all they do to protect and serve their local community, including its schools, school districts, and institutions of higher education (IHEs). Take time on January 9 to recognize the significant role of law enforcement, including school resource officers (SROs) and campus police, in support of school and campus safety.
These sworn officers have various roles and responsibilities in school and campus emergency management before, during, and after an incident. They are dedicated to protecting school and campus communities, preventing adversarial and human-caused threats from occurring, and responding to emergencies every day.
Mabry Middle School thanks Officer Jennings for his tireless work to keep us safe!
