We are proud to announce the addition of a Theatre Class to our Academic Arts Rotation. Historically, we have provided Theatre experiences for our students through after school productions and Artists in Residence. This allowed a limited number of students to participate; however, now students can receive Theatre instruction on a routine basis. No stranger to NPE, Mr. Tavy Garcia will serve as the Theatre teacher.
Research shows that Theatre instruction provides support in oral language development and vocabulary. We look forward to Mr. Garcia's collaboration with our classroom teachers to support content.
As well as teaching this class, Mr. Garcia will continue to serve as the director for our school based productions.
We are excited for the future of our Arts Program here at NPE!
