Today, our 8th-grade students from LMS had the opportunity to visit Swofford Career Center! Students explored hands-on programs, learned about career pathways, and discovered exciting opportunities available to them as they begin thinking about high school and beyond. From technical fields to creative industries, Swofford offers incredible experiences that help students connect their interests to future careers. Our 4th Annual Cardinal Fire and Ice Ball is Friday, February 13th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Admission is $10. Concessions will also be available for purchase at the dance. This is a fundraiser for our Jr. Beta Club.
> LMS students only! Students from other schools cannot attend.
> Here is a message from our principal about expectations for attire that evening. "The dress code for the Fire and Ice Ball is as follows: 1. No mid-drifts 2. No undergarments showing 3. Dress should be in good taste, modest, and reasonable for middle school. We reserve the right to deny entry into the dance if your dress is inappropriate. Please see Dr. Walker before February 11th if you have questions about your dress."
> Drop-off and pick-up for the dance are in our car rider line at the back of the school. Doors will open at 6:00. Only designated Beta officers working concessions will be allowed early entrance. Our athletes partnered with students from another Spartanburg County elementary school to guide horses, play games, and lend a helping hand in the nonprofit’s garden.
