Mr. Millwood's classes have been hard at work over the past few weeks on a meaningful service project. After brainstorming ways to make a positive impact in the community, the students developed an idea, designed logos and flyers, and brought their project to life - the LMS Cardinals Super Fun Run! Dressed as superheroes, students ran or walked in support of Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas (CCPC), a nonprofit organization that provides vital assistance to families facing pediatric cancer.
A special thank you to Mrs. Laura Allen of Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas and Campobello Mayor Jason Shamis for speaking to our students and championing this important cause! #LiveLearnLandrum

Our amazing middle school teachers were supposed to come dressed for Tacky Day as part of Underground Spirit Week... but they had other plans! Instead, they pulled off the ultimate prank and surprised our principal by all wearing shirts with her face on them! 👕🤩
Safe to say, she was shocked… and maybe a little flattered? 😉
Nothing like a little team spirit and a lot of laughs to keep things fun around here! #LiveLearnLandrum #UndergroundSpiritWeek #TeacherPranks #BestPrincipalEver

As a part of Mr. Millwood's class service project, 7th graders got visits from Ball4Good founder and Duke student, Adom Appiah, via Zoom, and his mother, Marjorie. They also watched a presentation by Aly Ruggiero, Director of Communications and Marketing for Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. Both presentations showed students real-world applications for ELA and passion projects to help people. The LMS 7th graders are working on the Super Cardinals Fun Run to raise money for Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. They're working on the project from the ground up. #LiveLearnLandrum #RespectExcellenceDetermination
